Interesting YouTube Croquet Videos

YouTube is a valuable resource to help you brush up on your croquet skills.

Here are some to get you started.

Gareth Denyer (a top AC player, and obviously a whiz on computers), has developed a "mallet sports simulator". He describes its purpose as to:

​

  • Set up and save scenarios

  • Experiment with lines of play

  • Using the Physics Engine of Unity

  • Replay – Productive Failure

  • Adjust player attributes

  • Accuracy aim/length, other skills

  • Record Games

  • Play against others

The GC simulator is the most advanced of the four. GB is in its early stages of development.  AC and RC game simulation are next for development.

Another very well organised and comprehensive site is Toronto Croquet Club's Videos & Tutorials page which has some excellent home grown videos and links to other sites. It provides tips on Association, Golf, Ricochet and Gateball.

Ricochet Croquet is an excellent version of croquet and a stepping stone to Association Croquet. This video shows the short, 6 hoop, version of the game. 

If your back yard is not croquet lawn material, you might try Bush Croquet.

And, as soon as you can have a friend over, you might like to try this...
