We played Cooks River Div 3 Pennants Wednesday, 20 May, against Cooks River at Cooks River.

     We lost the match 2/1.

We lost the doubles 2/0, Sally narrowly lost her singles  2/0 and

Anne Hall played a long, very hard fought (timed out match) to win 2/1.
All of us struggled with the very fast lawns.

We will be playing at Strathfield on Friday morning against Royal Sydney.

Our President comments:

You are doing Strathfield C C and yourselves proud. It is difficult to adjust to the speed of different lawns - ours are slow by comparison with most clubs.
Some of them feel like playing on glass.

Growing older is inevitable.

Growing up is optional.

Croquet is an all season, outdoor sport which almost everyone can play. Our club starts with Junior players from Secondary School level, and members usually continue to play throughout their lifespan. The different croquet based games played at the club provides challenge, diversity and best of all - fun.
